Eight years ago I stepped through the doorway of online entrepreneurship through my Etsy shop.

I was super energized about silk painting, serious about sharing my craft with the world, and inspired to earn an income doing something I truly loved.

I invested in a brand new Macbook Pro to show the Universe just how serious I was, and trusted the investment would pay off. It did. By nearly 3,000%. It was a total joy.

More than one major life upheaval has happened since then, and it's sent me searching far beyond the studio, up to the highest mountain peaks and down into the depths of the oceans.

And now, I feel myself returning to that source energy of inspiration again.

I'm taking myself, my passions, and my creative life seriously again.

I'm investing in myself again.

I'm seeking a new, refurbished laptop that's a joy to operate. Something that will support and enhance the work I'm doing for some amazing partner individuals and organizations, as well as that of my own.

In celebration, I'll be holding a few days in my calendar over the next two weeks to create some new hand painted silk scarves and neckties and posting them for sale (and then, switching gears to focus on an upcoming artist residency with SEEN RI, which I am SO excited to share with you!)

What makes these scarves so unique is I hand paint each one, freehand, using paint brushes, professional grade nontoxic dyes, and other fun things like Himalayan and Celtic sea salts, rose water, soy wax, etc.

Then I roll them up in newsprint and steam them over the stove top to get the dyes to permanently bond to the silk. While the process is quite laborious, it yields the richest, most vibrant color imaginable.

And like snowflakes, no two pieces are the same. Pretty powerful stuff, huh?

let's go shopping :)
