HAND DYED SILK SCARVES
Scarves are freehand painted using professional grade nontoxic silk dyes, water-based resists, and/or soy wax. This method of painting is labor-intensive and filled with love. Once painted, scarves are fixed in a high-temperature steam-bath, permanently bonding the dye colors to the silk. While there are methods for painting more quickly, this process allows for the least impact on the environment while producing vivid colors and allowing for a great range of mark making and textures.
To care for your scarf, hand wash in lukewarm water with mild soap. Blot dry with an old towel and iron on low while scarf is still ever so slightly damp.
