Hello everyone! My name is Jo, and I’m a RI-based artist, life coach, and yoga teacher who believes that creativity holds limitless potential to awaken hearts and open minds.

In my work with others and in my own life, I've seen seen how creativity
helps people access their inner spark, as well deepen their sense of connection to themselves, to one another, and their place in the Universe.

What this project is
Global Art Mosaic leverages the power of art to ignite creativity, foster a sense of connection, and process what's going on in the world through visual expression. Participants of all ages are invited to contribute their individual voices around the theme of Transformation to co-create a "mosaic" of thought and perspective that will be donated to a community center at a later point in time.

Who this project is for
Global Art Mosaic is open to all ages and creative backgrounds; NO artistic background required. This is an excellent at-home activity for parents and their children, schoolteachers, and anyone else seeking to feel more connected to their creativity and to one another during times of isolation.

What it looks like
For our first Global Art Mosaic, you'll invited to share your unique perspective on the theme of TRANSFORMATION.

  • In a time when we are experiencing transformation on a global scale, what does this look like and feel like for you on a personal level?
  • What could transformation look and feel like at its highest potential?

Together, we'll ignite our creativity and co-create a singular “hive” of thought and feeling that encapsulates how we are collectively processing this profoundly powerful moment in time.

What you'll receive:
  • All participants will receive a hexagon-shaped "canvas" in the mail, along with a self-addressed stamped envelope, and a 5x7 Phoenix Rising art print created and hand signed by me.
  • Using words, poems, quotes, collage, leaf rubbings, paint splatters, fabric, and whatever else... take time to reflect on this idea Transformation with your piece of the honeycomb, and send your finished piece back in to me.
  • Post your photos to instagram using #GlobalArtMosaic and tag @GlobalArtMosaic to be featured in our digital gallery!
  • I'll then incorporate your artwork into a larger piece of art that will be donated to a community center in the future.
  • Participants will also receive an invitation to join a private Facebook group where you can connect and share inspiration and get tips from me on how to spark your creativity :)

If the idea of feeling more connected to your creativity and to one another through a global art making process speaks to your heart, you're invited to join us on this humble adventure as together we explore our collective voice and potential  🎨 🐝  JOIN US!

Diversity of experience, backgrounds, and ideas welcome and encouraged, with respect and kindness for one another leading the way.

Your Art Gives Back
For every mosaic purchased, one tree will be planted in support of global reforestation via One Tree Planted.
Additionally, 10% of every mosaic kit will be donated to community organizations around the world who are working to build stronger communities.

For our first mosaic, we'll be donating to:

  • Shri Yoga, a nonprofit in Providence, RI that funds free yoga & mindfulness classes to communities in need
  • LRI School in Kathmandu, Nepal, funding scholarships for children in rural areas of the country to receive enriching education from visionary, heart-based leaders.
