I'm inspired by the raw, unfiltered truth of the creative process.
What is home?
It's a question I've been exploring ever since I moved to Rhode Island in 2014.
My experiences thus far led me to believe that home isn't necessarily so much a place as it is a feeling. And this feeling, for me, is anchored in the creative process.
Just as the turtle carries carries its home on its back, art is my container, my shell, my portal for diving into deeper relationship with my self, and in turn, with the world around me.
The raw, unfiltered, illuminating truth in this process is what inspires me to keep creating, and to work with others helping them rekindle their creative flame.
Eating with the Ecosystem commissioned me this fall to decorate their Scales and Tales Mobile Food Boat with local aquatic species, over 75 creatures in total!
The Scales and Tales program provides free educational opportunities for the public to learn about our local seafood, marine ecosystems, and fisheries. These events help bring awareness to and promote local lesser known seafood species and include seafood cooking demonstrations, free samples of local seafood, and fishermen and scientist story telling.

“Let me keep my distance, always, from those
who think they have the answers.
Let me keep company always with those who say
"Look!" and laugh in astonishment,
and bow their heads.”
